Andrew C. Withee VFW #11160
It hasn’t been long that the Andrew C. Withee VFW #11160 in Clarksville has sold Tennessee Lottery products but, according to Quartermaster Mike Flood, the games have already fit seamlessly into the culture of the post since they started selling tickets in May.
Quartermaster Flood said, “Our post serves beverages and food, but the VFW wanted to add something new so customers could sit and hangout together longer. Adding the lottery proved to be a great choice. For the most part, it’s camaraderie; people come here to be around people with similar experiences. But while they’re here, they have fun playing the Lottery.”
Most popular games? Gigantic Jumbo Bucks, as well as Powerball, Cash 3 and Cash 4. He commented that his customers also enjoy playing KENO To Go and like that the draws occur so often throughout the day. He added, the fast-paced action of the game is exciting to them and they tend to stay longer.
The VFW is doing well since the addition of Lottery last May. Now, they have something in addition to shuffleboard and darts to play while at the post.
The VFW #11160 in Clarksville aims to provide a place for all Veterans who have sacrificed in our nation’s conflicts abroad. They continue to be a force for the good within their community. We appreciate them partnering with the Tennessee Education Lottery to provide more scholarship opportunities in Tennessee.
