Olg winning numbers keno

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation runs the OLG Daily Keno as one of their top lottery games. This is a classic take on keno games, and it offers a wide range of bets that make it easy for players to wager as much as they want with different levels of risk. The OLG has used games like their Daily Keno to raise more than $28 billion for Ontario since 1975. The Daily Keno is one of their most popular games with thousands of people playing every single day.

The basic premise of the OLG Daily Keno is that 20 numbers are drawn from a pool of 80. To win, you need to guess the numbers that will be picked. You can choose how many numbers you want to bet on and how much money you want to bet, so there is a lot of flexibility in this game.

OLG is the most popular keno in Canada. With Atlantic Keno as the second most popular.

How to Play OLG Keno

It’s very easy to get started playing. Once you get a game ticket, you’ll need to mark how many numbers you want to try to guess, and this can be anywhere from two to 10. Next, you’ll mark down the numbers from the pool of 80 that you are guessing will be drawn. If you just want the computer to pick random numbers, then you can ask for the Quick Pick option instead.

Once your numbers are chosen, you’ll bet $1, $2, $5 or $10 on your ticket. You have the option to play for up to 10 consecutive drawings in the Daily Keno, and you can pay for them all in advance. After your ticket is purchased, just check in on the results for the daily drawings to see if you have won.

OLG Keno Odds

There are a total of 22 different ways to win in this game. However, the most popular bet is the 10 Pick where a player tries to guess 10 of the 20 numbers that are drawn. The odds of getting 10 numbers right are one in 2,147,181, and this pays out $250,000 for every dollar that you bet.

Getting nine numbers right pays $5,000 times the size of your bet, and the chances are one in 47,238. Hitting eight numbers has a one in 2,571 chance with a $200 prize per dollar wagered, and match seven numbers pays a $25 prize for every dollar that you bet on your ticket with a 1 in 261 chance of hitting.

You also have a one in 39 chance of getting exactly zero numbers correct, and you win a $2 prize on a $1 bet for this result.

Lottery Daily Games Odds

What are the odds?

Generally, the odds of winning a draw-based lottery depend on two things:
1. How many numbers must be matched
2. The size of the number pool.

For example, when playing PICK-4, the odds of winning the jackpot are based on matching 4 numbers out of a pool of 10 numbers. The more numbers you must match and the bigger the number pool, the greater your odds.

Odds of winning by game

Odds for individual Daily Lottery games vary depending on each game’s prize structure, the betting structure (if applicable), the player pool and the numbers you select.

How are Daily Lottery numbers drawn?

Daily Lottery numbers are chosen at random by a ball drop. The ball drop machine creates a random result for every draw, and lottery balls are tested regularly for consistency in size and weight to keep it that way. This ensures that every number has an equal chance of being drawn with every draw.

  • The ball drop machine is loaded with one set of balls numbered from 0 to 9.
  • Once a ball is dropped and the first winning number is recorded, the machine is reloaded with all the balls and another drop takes place to determine the next winning number.
  • The number of separate ball drops that takes place depends on which game you are playing. For example, DAILY KENO draws 20 winning numbers. That means that 20 separate balls drops will be performed.

There’s no advantage to picking numbers that have won more often in the past. The chances of winning are always the same, no matter how many times a number has won before.

Can I increase my odds of winning?

There is no way to change the odds or the rules for any daily lottery game. The ball drop mechanism ensures that draw results are completely random. There is no way to tell which numbers will be drawn at any given time.
