  • PLUS All finishers earn a medal and a head/neck warmer at the finish!
  • People who pre-ordered their beer/pint glass will show their bib and get a ticket for their beer and glasses. On race day, people need to pay $10.00 for a beer, they will also receive a pint glass while supplies last.

New and Improved for 2020:

We are making a number of changes to make the Monster Series more fun, more organized, and more open to families and competitive athletes alike. This year’s changes include:

  • Adding age group awards 2-3 deep for Kids (0-9, 10-14 instead of 0-19 as years past) and going to 5 year age groups from 10 all the way up to 70+.
  • We will keep utilizing EnMotive’s packet pickup solution for Dynamic Bibs as at Monster and Polar Dash to speed up your packet pickup experience.
  • Changing the Start Line to the Middle of the Concourse of CHS Field, providing a straighter line to start the race. In future years weather permitting we will keep holding the start and/or finish line on the field.
  • Lowering the Bib replacement fee to $5 from $20 – we understand things happen!
  • And more to come.

The Lucky Run

Hello from A Change of Pace – we know you have been expecting to hear from us. We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and doing as well as possible during this unprecedented period of time.

First and foremost we would like to apologize for the delay in communicating with you in regard to the Lucky Run. Like many, we too have been adjusting with the drastic changes to everyday life. Nonetheless, we have been closely monitoring the local, state, and national developments with the coronavirus pandemic and unfortunately not kept you up-to-date with our plans.

While we were initially hopeful to offer you a deferment of your race admission to any of our upcoming races – the Moonlight Run, Labor Day Run, Rocktobrewfest or Davis Turkey Trot – we are still unclear if any of these events will be allowed to happen in 2020. We did not want to reschedule Lucky Run only to postpone it again in just a few months. Of course, our greatest hope is that we can host some of our upcoming 2020 events; if that happens we will send you a note about the option to transfer your Lucky Run entry to a fall event. But as for now, everyone registered for the 2020 Lucky Run will have the option to have their entry carried over to the 2021 race, which is currently tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Your registration ID will become your coupon code and you will need to use that to re-register for the 2021 race once registration opens. Please note that you will NOT be automatically enrolled in the 2021 race as a duplicate of 2020 and must re-signup (at no cost to you). This will allow you to pick the distance that suits you best then, along with shirt size, and the ability to update any personal information like email or address that might have changed in the interim. Additionally, if you cannot make this future date, your coupon code will be 100% transferable to a friend or family member for the event.

We are hopeful that this new normal will soon dissipate to where we can resume our running events with few restrictions. In the meantime, we hope you continue to stay safe and healthy.

Countdown to Race Day

The Lucky Run Walk will offer four events to choose from:

  • 5K
  • 7K
  • 10K
  • Kid’s Fun Runs (ages 12 and under): 1/4 and 1/2 Mile

2020 Start Times:

  • 8:00 AM – 5K and 7K
  • 8:04 AM — 10K
  • 9:30 AM – Kids Runs

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Online registration is available by linking here. (Will open mid-late December 2019)
  • All registration is handled online. A processing fee applies to all entries, and this covers the costs of your secure transaction with our provider as well as the fees due to the credit card companies.
  • Look up/confirm an entry here.

BIB PICK UP:

  • All bib number and t-shirt pick up will be handled on race morning starting at 6:30 AM.
  • Pre-registered bib/shirt pick up will be located near the start/finish area at Davis High School.
  • ID is not required.

ENTRY INCLUDES:

  • Technical t-shirt (kids fun run to receive cotton shirt) and Finisher Medal (kids fun run to receive ribbon)
  • Eligibility for age group awards (except kids fun run, which is untimed)
  • Post-race refreshments (including beer for those 21+)

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR LUCKY RUN THERE IS NO PACKET PICKUP IN ADVANCE.

Refund Policy, Transfers and Race Rules

Weather: This event happens rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel the event if there is an unforseen act of God which would render producing the event unsafe for our athletes, volunteers, staff or community.

Refund/cancellation & Entry Rules: All entries are non-refundable and are not transferable to another event. No refunds under any circumstances.

Transferring Your Entry To A Friend/Family Member: If you wish to transfer your entry to a friend or family member in the case that you become injured or cannot otherwise attend, you may do so on or before 11:59 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019. There is no fee to transfer to a friend/family member but your request must be completed online through your runsignup account; or if you are unable to achieve it via the online system, your request must be made in writing via email to us by 5PM on March 18, 2018. Doing so via your runsignup account will send an email to your friend, who may then accept the transfer request and provide their information, shirt size and agree to the liability waiver. No phone, fax or in person requests for entry transfers. The person to whom you are transferring your entry must complete the request on or before 11:59 PM Friday, March 22, 2019.

Changing Your Race Division: We will accommodate changes to your race division if they are made in advance of race weekend. That is, if you enter the 10K and wish to switch to the 5K, we can make this adjustment. You can do so within your runsignup account any time prior to 11:59 PM on March 19, 2019. If you are unable to do so online, please email us by 3/18/19 and we will make the change for you.

We kindly ask that all division changes are made in advance. Division changes that are made on race day slow down the results process and also can result in inaccurate race results category/overall placements for you and the entire rest of the event, until your division is able to be switched. Therefore, we are asking that all division changes are made in advance of race weekend.

Participating in the division for which you are not registered: is strictly not allowed. Entrants who run or walk a division for which they are not registered may be disqualified, might not receive a finish time and will be ineligible for awards. To clarify, if a participant is registered for the 10K and completes the 5K instead, they may be disqualified as outlined above.

Race Communication: All race communication is done via e-mail so please include an email that you check on your entry. Online entry will result in a confirmation email within 15 minutes of entry. Emails are not sold or traded.
